Volkswagen Polo is expected to be launched in the Indian auto market in January 2010.European auto manufacturer, Volkswagen plans to launch its most popular hatchback model Volkswagen Polo in Indian market to make it position strong in the Indian auto market which is dominated by small hatchback cars as 70% of Indian car buyers fall in small car segment. Volkswagen has recently launches its first manufacturing plant in Chakan near Pune in India. The company plans to launch Volkswagen Polo in highly competitive price range of Rs 4 to 5 lacs. Volkswagen Polo price is set to compete with the other hatchback cars in its segment like Maruti Swift, Maruti Ritz, Fiat Punto, Hyundai i10, Hyundai i20, etc. Volkswagen India plans to launch Volkswagen Polo with both petrol and diesel engine option. Volkswagen Polo is already available at European market and it got huge popularity there because of its stylish looks, performance, advanced features that are available at low price tag.t is expected that Volkswagen Polo will be priced in the range of Rs 4 to 5 lacs.
